International Mathematics Day is celebrated on March 14 , known as Pi Day due to the numerical representation of the date (3/14), which corresponds to the first digits of the number pi. As of 2020, by decision of UNESCO, the day began to be officially recognized to celebrate the importance of mathematics around the world.
